AFRICAN AGRICULTURE

Africa has a wide variety of agro-ecological zones, ranging from rainforests marked by two rainy seasons to relatively sparse, dry and arid vegetation, watered once a year. While this diversity is a huge asset, it is still a big challenge for Africa’s agricultural development. On the one hand, it offers immense potential in terms of agricultural commodities and products that can be produced and marketed in domestic and foreign markets. On the other hand, this diversity excludes any general solution to the problems posed by agricultural development throughout the continent. Consequently, the programming and implementation of interventions in this sector must be adapted to the specific conditions of each agro-ecological zone and to the socio-economic situation of rural households living in the different countries of the continent.

GROW ORGANIC VEGETABLES

Cultivating a vegetable garden means having the opportunity to produce organic vegetables that are tasty, healthy and free of pesticide residues. This involves first choosing seeds and organic plants and removing chemical treatments that can contaminate vegetables and damage the microfauna in the soil. Cultivating organic vegetables also requires a holistic approach to gardening, which tends to prevent rather than cure diseases and pests, for example by providing fertile and healthy soil for cultivation, by rotating crops, applying the principle of companion plants and promoting biodiversity in the garden. Find out how to do it step by step. Thus we ensure a production of organic vegetables, tasty and healthy for a healthy diet that in order to eliminate the end but also to feed in a healthy way which benefits everyone.
